We aren't the most natural In front of the camera, but after a few minutes of guiding us, we felt like we were taking part in America's Next Top Model! Honestly, we just had a blast, exploring London, getting ideas, snapping away, getting coffee, talking to locals to use their shop fronts, everyone was the best! And honestly, we had a vision, we'd shared our thoughts and requests, Ryan ran with them. The bridesmaid looked fabulous but felt nervous, this shifted quickly. They were posed around statues, a step away from the traditional line up, but I watched my besties transform and feel as beautiful as they looked. Then when the family arrived we still got those shots that are a wedding requirement.

The party was a blast!!!!! With everyone dressed up, there were plenty of photo opportunities. Family on the dancefloor, friends in the courtyard and all-round shenanigans!! From the little details, cherished moments with loved ones, and photos of us downing our first drink... All captured with love. Ryan's skill is outstanding and the photos phenomenal, we know this! What really smashed it was his personality, being genuinely excited, guiding us, realising when we needed a hot minute to step away and get a few snaps and a debrief. Ensuring our loved ones had equal camera time.

Having the time for couple portraits were so important when looking back at the album of awesomeness. We reflected how special it was to have us time that was positive and fun, and then shift that experience to include our loved ones! When you book Ryan his communication, personality and vibe are on top form!!! And if you are reading this, just book! You will not regret it.

We look back at the photos, beaming thinking 'we fricking did that' all that time spent planning encapsulated in an album full of dancing, joy and sass, just like Ryan!

Not only was the booking and payment process smooth and painless, but we were able to add an extra service onto our plan easily too. From following Ryan’s socials I already felt like I knew him but our zoom call to chat through the plan and discovering a shared interest in Warhammer, sealed the deal even more so for my now husband.

As we neared the day, Ryan gave us chance to share all the details and took away any stresses and we knew he had it covered (see unplugged guidance for guests).

On the day Ryan was incredible. So much fun and just brought such fantastic energy with him. He took time to check in with us both before the ceremony and then spent all day hanging out and fully being part of the family. Genuinely felt like another friend at our garden wedding and we had so much fun creating magic.

Within 2 days we had 70 odd preview pics and everyone we know was so impressed. Then only 5 weeks after we got wed, Ryan well and truly surprised us by delivering the goods, 650+(!) photographs, slideshows and the extra special super 8 film, beautifully documenting the curated chaos of our day. We were so very happy with everything, we can’t wait to sit down and have a full on viewing party with everyone we know, until then, we can’t stop looking again and again ourselves.

The emotions, the colour, our home, the family & friends, the loving moments and all the funny ones too, all captured. Most importantly some bloody great pictures of our dog and we laughed so much looking at our gallery.

We got married in January in the French Alps. Big snow, big cheese, big emotions. And we knew from the moment we started planning that there was only one person we wanted to tell our story — Ryan. I’d seen his photos at my best friend Chloe’s wedding and remember thinking, HOW? Every image felt like something from an arthouse film, with the warmth and soul of someone who really sees people.

And then we met him. Sam was instantly sold when Ryan turned up to our first Zoom in a Warhammer T-shirt. I was sold somewhere between “hi” and realising he’s got that rare mix of total creativity and zero ego, just bloody loves what he does. He made us laugh, reassured us that hating being in front of the camera was completely fine, and gave off a calm, brilliant chaos energy that made us both think: Hell yep, even if he did ask "reckon I'll be ok up the mountain in my vans?".

The night before the wedding, Ryan and his beautiful wife Paige joined us for raclette and wine – which could’ve just been chill hangout time for them, but no, he somehow quietly captured magic there too. He caught these quiet, sneaky moments of us slipping away from the crowd, the kind of shots you don’t plan but end up treasuring the most. It was the perfect warm-up – no pressure, no awkwardness, just connection and calm in the middle of the madness.

On the day? Let’s talk about dedication. Ryan wasn’t feeling well and you could tell he was gutted, but he and his absolute powerhouse of a wife Paige still turned up and looked after US like nothing else in the world mattered. They were fluffing dresses, checking we’d eaten, gently moving us so our faces were in post boxes, and portholes and each others chests, and basically being our behind-the-scenes dream team while also crafting editorial-level magic in waist-deep snow.

And the photos? I mean. Come on.

They are next-level. They’re not just beautiful – they’re out of this world. Everyone who’s seen them has said some version of “I’ve never seen wedding photos like this before they are EPIC” – and they’re right. These aren’t photos, they’re frames you feel like you can time travel through and arrive exactly at that moment, remembering exactly what you were thinking, and feeling at the time.

People have changed their profile pictures. Our gallery has been screenshotted so many times I’m pretty sure it’s in the cloud twice. And we’re now the cover photo on Ryan’s actual website. Casual fame. No big deal. The turnaround time? Silly fast. Like, how did you even do this fast. Previews were in our inbox before we’d managed to shift the cheese hangover, and the full gallery landed so quickly we’re starting to suspect witchcraft.

We booked our engagement shoot prior to the big day, after getting these photos back in record time we couldn’t wait to see what he came back with after the wedding. Ryan arrived on time to get some pics of me getting ready and his calming presence was a breath of fresh air in the panic of the wedding morning. He was on hand to help the husband when he needed a charger and the little things like holding my flowers - in general just a great sidekick to have with you on the day.

As expected he has us finding some funky places to have pictures taken in his own creative style & he was more than happy to take the cute posey pictures that I wanted too. We got our previews back within 48 hours and were blown away by the way he captured our day perfectly, getting photos of us, candid ones of our guests and of course plenty of the dog. We got our full album back last week and we were both so emotional reliving that day, seeing the quality and all the amazing pictures we get to keep forever. We have had so many comments from family and friends about how wonderful our pictures are, even the people that didn’t think they liked his style have been switched to the Ryan side of photography and I’m not at all surprised because he creates beauty in the most bizarre of places.

As soon as we had our first call with him we knew we'd get along: he and I share the same silly sense of humour, and—I mean this with great love and respect—he's absolutely batshit in the very best way. He quickly understood what we wanted from our wedding photos, and we immediately felt confident he'd deliver.

On our wedding day he showed up nice and early to capture my wife and me, and our bridespeople and families, getting ready. He was immediately a bright and vibrant addition to the morning, making stupid puns and cracking everyone up, but also being an incredibly reassuring and calm presence when we (I!) needed it most.

It was lovely to have someone there with us throughout the day who we felt was just there for us—of course he was taking photos of everyone else, and capturing every moment, but we loved having him by our side throughout to reassure us, help us have moments away from the hustle and bustle, and to just be there for us. It was one of those really lovely instances of feeling like you've become good friends with someone you've known for a few hours, and in the months since this feeling has continued.

Obviously, the images are incredible and are everything we were hoping for. He turned our previews round so quickly, which made us both cry quite a bit, not just because we were reliving the day, but because of how beautiful the images were and how perfectly he'd captured everything and everyone. A week or so ago we received our full gallery and our Super 8 video, which did exactly the same. Ryan is so talented, skilful, and perceptive: he captured so many moments and details that the gallery and video really feel like stepping back in time to the day.

If you're thinking of hiring a photographer for your wedding who creates interesting and different work, hire Ryan. If you're thinking of hiring a videographer as well, also hire Ryan: I was curious to see how he'd have time to photograph everything as well as capturing it all on the Super 8 to have enough footage to not make the video feel like an afterthought, but he did it brilliantly. The video is tender, beautifully framed and shot, and just so wonderful; everything looks like it was filmed with love, rather than just capturing something. I'm so pleased we asked him to do both, as the work is literally perfect—including literally the best photos anyone's ever taken of me or of us as a couple—and he's simply so much bloody fun.

Whenever people whom I haven't seen since before the wedding comment on it, the first thing they say is "Congratulations on your wedding!" followed immediately by "Aren't the photos incredible??" Sure, we both look smoking hot, but most of the comments about the photography are about the creativity, the artistry, the compositions, and the images themselves. I don't want to be overshadowed when it comes to my own wedding, but if we're talking about the photos, then crack on: they are the best wedding photos I've ever seen.

Taking photos with Ryan was actually one of our favourite parts of the day. He captured the perfect combination of posed and candid photos, and worked so quickly getting us into place and getting the right shot. He utilised everything from the grand decor of our venue, to the surrounding streets, and everywhere in between. Can you believe that some of our favourite photos were taken in a car park and bus stop?

We all had so much fun with the compositions and Ryan had everyone feeling at ease. He also blended in so seamlessly that a lot of people assumed he was one of our guests, and we’ve had so many comments about how lovely and fun he was to be around. And with our more excitable guests, boy did we need someone with his sense of humour!

Ryan was immediately warm and generous with ideas, and there was an instant vibe of, “I’m gonna make your day look cool and beautiful.” And let me tell you, he did not disappoint.

On the day, Ryan was amazing. His energy matched our wedding perfectly. He was somehow both completely present—funny, getting along with everyone—and at the same time, he managed to capture the most intimate and gorgeous moments with this candid, arty style. I didn’t even see Ryan during the ceremony, yet he somehow caught the tears in our eyes and the joy in our souls. Incredible stuff.

We took a jolly around York in an old Bentley, snapping photos near the Minster. 1,000 tourists ogling us? Nightmare fuel. But Ryan made it light, smooth, and genuinely a proper good laugh. It was the perfect start to an incredible day.

We got our photos two weeks ago, and we haven’t stopped looking at them. They’re creative, and they don’t miss a beat of our jam-packed day. But the cherry on this three-tiered photo cake has to be the Super8 film. It brought the day back to life right before our eyes, and it’s something I know we’ll treasure for all of our marriage. His work is like a lens into the spirit of a moment.

Ryan was extremely diligent the whole way through the process leading up to to the ceremony, making sure we had properly considered what we wanted on the day, via meetings and questionnaires.

The actual day was fantastic and Ryan was flawless. He seamlessly blended in, whist capturing a huge number of mesmerising and creative photos. Neither of us are particularly a fan of photos, but the individual shots were also effortless and great fun. Our walk around York gave us a bit of breathing space and complimented the day perfectly.

Ryan possesses something so acutely wonderful, it’s not just his work which even after my wedding, I still look at our pictures daily and the other weddings he has done.. It’s not just he loves his family so much which I think brings a clear and loving narrative to his work.. it’s just the man is a great human who is genuine & passionate about what he does. It’s hard not to want Ryan to actually be your friend & during our wedding day, people at times assumed he was down to his personality and hilarious nature …

We cannot recommend Ryan enough. He caught moments that I didn’t even think he would; during the ceremony I cannot even remember seeing him, but the photo’s a tear jerkingly perfect. He caught all the emosh and feels and it’s just so lovely to know that we can recapture that incredible day by going through his photos. Simply cannot wax lyrical about Shutter Go Click enough… and as mentioned previous like myself, and my friends on the day… we all want to be his friend since… (me from the moment we started chatting!) that has to show you what a “unique”.. “cool” kind of guy he is…Oh! worthy note he let me text him about MAFSAU and well… you have to like a person that is happy to also respond on that…

Not just an incredibly talented and creative photographer, Ryan shared his wedding expert knowledge to help us plan our schedule for the day, and calmed our worries and nerves whenever we spoke to him. Both my husband and I were particularly worried about having our photos taken, but with his effortless charm, he made us laugh and put us completely at ease.

On the day, we feel like everyone left with a new best pal. He was one of us for the day and we could see it in our photographs - they felt intimate and so full of love. We love the amount of candid moments he captured from all elements of the day - some of our favourite images are seeing what our friends were getting up to! We now have a little collection of beautifully printed and framed photos on our wall which we ordered through Ryan’s link. We were blown away by the quality when they arrived.

Our family and friends have all shared the same feelings, and have commented on both how special these photographs are and how great Ryan was on the day. We all feel sad he’s not actually one of the family so we might just invite him over for Christmas this year.

My wife had followed Shutter Go Click for many years on Facebook and oooo’d and ahhh’d at his posts with absolutely no idea he would be our wedding photographer one day. She said to see us in his photos was somewhat of a pinch me moment and it felt so special that we had won it for being just us. Just two gals in love!

The fact that we won doesn’t detract from we 100% would have picked him anyway. We didn’t want a basic set of photos, they wouldn’t have reflected us or our day at all. Ryans style of photography is so different to anything I’ve seen before, we got to see firsthand how he gets these shots with all his contraptions!

We were in contact with Ryan throughout the lead up to our wedding, we had a Zoom call and then just checking in via text or email, the canny little chats and odd like on our social media did make all the difference and it felt like he was just as excited as us. His arrival was just as we were starting to get ready bang on time when he said he would be there, and he was on it straight away camera in hand!

He is also a super speedy editor. We got around 80 preview images back within a week, whilst we were on our minimoon in Spain, sat in some random coffee shop in a tourist attraction crying our eyes out. We got our main album back way sooner that proposed as well, we were kept in the loop about the timeline and the queue ahead of us, this added to the anticipation of seeing the pictures as well as a nice personal touch - which with Ryan, there were lots.

Usually, we don’t really like getting our photos taken, we are both a little awkward with the focus of attention being on us, but Ryan made us feel at ease straight away and we actually enjoyed it. Like many have already said it genuinely felt like we had known him for ages, it was like having your friend take you out on a joy ride to get some arty shots in random places in your fancy clothes. Ryan just blended in, snapping away, he felt like a guest, in fact we would have invited him as a guest! He chatted with our families, had a crack on with our mates while we were getting our group shots and checked on us both throughout the day making sure we were ok.

Ryan is just so genuine – what you see is what you get, he is as mad as a box of frogs and so unbelievably talented. We had promised him a mountain with B**bs (censored since the internet is scared) but unfortunately Northumberlandia was closed so we explored the area around our venue - Be prepared to go climbing over logs, trekking through grass fields, spin near some wheelie bins – just do what he asks! It is worth it! We were a little worried our venue was more on the traditional side but Ryan found his spots and we went for it.

THE PHOTOS – well…where to start, WOW! They are beyond our expectations. We knew they were going to be good, but they are more than we ever could have wished for. Every single one of them is like a perfect snapshot of our day! My personal favourites (all though its very hard to pick) are the ones that he took while we weren’t posing, us being us, just small little moments and when the light was right he grabbed us to go out the back with our wedding party. The photos are stunning, I will never ever tire of looking at them, everyone who has seen them has all said the same thing.

My wife said this: Ryan captured the true feel of the day; A LOT of me crying; but also the love and the joy of our wedding day. And of course, my wife looking FIT!!!

Before we met Ryan, and whilst planning our wedding, we were very apprehensive about being the centre of attention and especially about having our photograph taken. Neither of us are keen on being at that end of the camera but, from the moment we met on our engagement shoot, Ryan made us feel relaxed and at ease. We were both surprised by how comfortable we felt, and how enjoyable we found the experience.

I won't lie, before meeting Ryan I was slightly apprehensive about being photographed whilst getting ready on the morning of the big day. I knew I would want those memories captured, but worried it would be awkward or difficult. I knew I would be stressed about getting ready and didn't want to feel under any extra pressure. I really need not have been concerned! When Ryan arrived in the morning it just felt like an old friend had popped round to help.

And he continued to help all day. He went above and beyond simply capturing our day and we're so glad he was there with us. His unique talent for being hilarious and fun to be around; cracking jokes and fitting himself with our family and friends, yet still being professional is a special gift! We received so many comments from our guests about how brilliant and charismatic he is, and some were even surprised that we had not known him prior to our engagement!

The photographs we received (long before we expected them) are fantastic. They are just what we hoped for. As well as taking some posed (but not cheesy) shots, he also caught candid, genuine emotion. He has somehow managed to capture in pictures the way we felt on the day and those are the photos we love and will cherish the most.

We must also mention the communication with Ryan could not be faulted. We kept seeing on wedding groups about couples feeling ghosted by their photographers and that couldn't be any further from our experience with Ryan. He never failed to check in and keep us updated and we felt in the loop from the day we first enquired. There is so much to juggle when planning a wedding so not having to chase up or worry is just an extra layer to the great service he delivers.

Having Ryan share our day with us was everything we hoped it would be - it was just like having a good friend about keeping you company who also happened to be snapping a few pics! He was practically an honorary bridesmaid for me as with no official bridal party he landed the job of keeping me company for a fair while pre-ceremony. All our friends and family commented on just how lovely he was as well, making everyone feel relaxed and at ease.

The photos? Well, they are amazing too. So many people have commented how individual and amazing they are. He was clear on the brief "...we don't want any photos where we're hugging from behind mooning into each other's eyes, nor do I need a photo of my shoes...." and he didn't disappoint. Both me and Conor are incredibly awkward in front of the camera but it came so easy and was so fun with Ryan behind it. On the morning of the big day Ryan and Paige were a breath of excited, creative fresh air and set me at ease from the second they walked through the hotel door. I’m not a fan of having my photo taken but he completely set me at ease. I loved watching his creative mind whirr away as he took in the room, the dress, everything. He found a stairwell that was gorgeous and instantly knew just what to do and produced some of my favourite photos from it. They genuinely brightened my morning and relaxed my jittery nerves brilliantly.

They remained the most lovely, creative, dynamic duo for the rest of the day and although we had some set up shots. The rest of the time I barely knew they were there, but They certainly were capturing every moment for me to keep forever. The shots that were set up by Ryan were so creative and more importantly so much bloody fun! Even in torrential rain - he made the whole thing a blast.

On my booking I selected an extra option of Paige doing a mini video and this was the BEST decision ever! She is absolutely amazing and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched it. It’s the perfect length to share with family and friends and she captured the mood of the day perfectly - tick that box - you won’t regret it!

As for the photos well, there are no words to describe them - they’re just so unique, no two are the same and I will treasure them forever. I know I’ll be ordering several more and we already have a wonderful canvas of my favourite family shot hanging in the living room. I couldn’t have wished for better - they are simply exquisite.

Our wedding was an autumnal vintage theme and he nailed our vision by incorporating nature into this. He even had us in bushes… we loved it haha and the shots are epic! We had moved our wedding 3 times by October and got so lucky Ryan was able to keep moving with us. We had a few special requests which he remembered & ensured all our family photos were done with speed and efficiency so we could enjoy the day with our guests. When we received our photos I cried. The style of his photos is so unique & beautiful they simply took our breath away & the amount of compliments we have had on how breathtaking they are speaks volumes. Anyway, there was never any other choice for us and I would’ve moved the wedding over again if Ryan was unavailable, who we booked before we had even booked a venue! While his work speaks for itself, what you don’t see is just how lovely he is! When our wedding date finally arrived in April, Ryan & Paige arrived that morning and started working their magic! We had also asked Paige to create us a video after seeing some of her previous works! Our previews arrived a few days after the wedding and we were blown away! Safe to say there were a few tears! When the full photo selection arrived we could believe how many amazing photos there were and wondered how we would ever pick our favourites for the wall and album. Ryan seemed to have captured EVERYTHING and all those perfect unseen moments. We now have a 15 strong collection on the wall and a beautiful album put together by Ryan.

The video created by Paige arrived a few weeks later and of course it is nothing less than perfect, we will be premiering it to our friends and family who couldn’t attend our wedding at our wedding celebration in August (restriction pending!) Not long after getting engaged we met Ryan and Paige at the Northern Monk to discuss all things weddings and get to know each other before the big day. Such a great laugh and lovely lovely human beings. Ryan and Paige were simply fantastic before, throughout and after. When James and I got engaged and began planning our wedding we weren’t sure what we wanted, but we knew for sure that we wanted Shutter Go Click as our photographer.

I was amazed at how quickly Ryan got in touch with us after initially booking him, and how wonderful he was to talk to over text. He arranged a meeting over a cuppa and from the get-go we were laughing, Ryan’s personality put James and I at ease from the very beginning. Talking to him was like talking to an old friend, and we couldn’t wait to work with him.

This year has not been an easy one for anyone, and due to the pandemic James and I had to postpone our wedding with only two weeks to go to the big day. Ryan was amazing, and I can’t express my gratitude to him for making everything so easy and stressless. He worked with me that morning and within about three hours we had everything sorted out.

I won’t lie, I was a complete stress-head on the lead up to the wedding, waiting for Boris to decide if we, along with so many others could get married or not. When it finally came down to it, James and I decided to go ahead with the wedding despite the restrictions that were still in place. It meant that not everyone could be there, and that we couldn’t have the day we originally imagined all those months ago, but it did mean that we could get married and that was all we wanted.

On the big day Ryan was the first person I had seen all morning, he came up to my room and I have to say in that moment he became more than just my photographer, he eased my nerves and talked me through how the day would play out. He went above and beyond making sure that everything was ok, and preventing me from having a complete meltdown. Throughout the day Ryan ran around capturing every last detail of our special day.

Ryan is hilarious, I was literally crying with laughter throughout the photoshoot, from hiding in bushes Homer Simpson style to terrifying James with a spider infested phone box. Ryan made our time spent with him an experience and not just a photoshoot. Those memories will stay with us forever, and not just because we have some awesome photographs but because of the fun we had taking them.

James and I are shy people and we weren’t sure how well we would cope with having our photograph taken, but I have to say it was amazing, and we honestly can’t wait to work with Ryan again. I’ll be forever grateful that after our ceremony he took myself and kaity somewhere quiet to reflect on the fact we had just got married, allowing us precious time together for some amazing photos and before we were swept up by our lovely guests all wanting to see us.

The photos speak for themselves, I still share them regularly and everyone always says how beautiful they are, they truly are incredible. Ryan is an all round amazing guy, he will make you feel like you are the only people in the room, he is an artist.

On the day Ryan was everything you’d expect - punctual, friendly, creative and got to work straight away to capture our day. In addition it’s worth mentioning that Ryan’s experience with weddings is invaluable. His instincts on what to capture and how are great. Plus he’s a dab hand at attaching buttonholes. Might seen small but little touches like this make Ryan a relaxing influence on the day.

Afterwards communication was top notch. We got our previews a few days later and our gallery a few weeks after which is no mean feat given the amount of work that goes in. We shared our pictures with friends and family and we’re overwhelmed by the amount of love for them. People were saying they’ve never seen anything quite like them.

THE ANDREWS FAMILY

The crux of my review will be about, a) me: a bit of an introvert, b) my wife: a photographer, and (of course), c) how Ryan – Shutter Go Click photography – managed to exceed our expectations. So, let’s start with me: I’m one of those “awkward af” kind of chaps. But because my wife is a photographer, I’ve done a couple of shoots before. However, my experience of them was… not great. As you can imagine, for a guy that doesn’t like socialising – at all – the idea of standing in front of a camera and “posing” is very unnatural to me (I will talk about Ryan in a minute, I promise).

My wife – a photographer herself – has been following Ryan’s work for a while. So, when the chance for a shoot with him came up – a not-so-subtle birthday idea – I seized the opportunity! Admittedly, I was wary that Ryan wouldn’t deliver, only because I know my wife well enough to know that her expectations were through the bloody roof! I kept saying, “It’ll be nice if we get 2-3 nice shots that we can print. That’s all we need.”

Now, onto the shoot! Does this even qualify as a review? It seems more like a blog at this point. Anyway, Ryan (alongside his amazing partner, Paige) are just the most wonderful, genuine folks you’ll meet. I immediately felt at ease and that feeling continued throughout the day. In fact, by the end we both thought of Ryan and Paige as people we’ve known for ages. I cannot put into words just how lovely these people are.

Ryan was tasked with working with an awkward chap like me, a photographer with (arguably) unrealistic expectations, a teenager, a young girl, a toddler, and animals. In other words, we did NOT make it easy for him! But Ryan delivered. In fact, he absolutely relished in all of it. He was always talking to us, making us laugh, giving us direction but – importantly – also allowing us to express who WE are as a family.

“It’ll be nice if we get 2-3 nice shots that we can print. That’s all we need”, I said. Ha! Now we have so many wonderful memories from such a perfect day, we wouldn’t be able to agree on ten times that amount, and we will most definitely become repeat customers.

How could I possibly write something that justifies just how good he is? Put simply, I can’t. But what I can say is: THANK YOU.

So as soon as we set our date I contacted Ryan straight away. In fact, I actually made sure Ryan was available BEFORE we confirmed with the venue! That's how adamant I was that Ryan was going to be our photographer! Our entire wedding was perfect for us and I wouldn't change a thing. But booking Ryan was probably the best thing we did. Ryan was easily contactable and even easier to talk to from the outset. Then the morning of the wedding he and Paige entered our home to an immediate hug from our one year old. From that moment on I think it's fair to say they were both accepted into the fold of my family and friends. 

They brought even more fun to the day, and even though the day of our wedding was probably the windiest day since Dorothy got sucked into a twister, the outdoor pictures are incredible! Ryan is an artist and the time he puts into the pictures, plus his creative eye, and not to mention the beautiful pictures at the end make him worth his weight in gold. 

I always said Ryan's pictures look like they have a little bit of magic in them. And that is exactly what I see when I look at ours. Thank you Ryan

We met Ryan right from the start of our wedding planning, after seeing some of his work online we knew he was the one for us & meeting up with him just confirmed it even more, he is so down to earth (if a little crazy but we love him for it) he slots right in & becomes a friend right from the beginning with his witty banter & sense of humour.

We met up in York for our engagement shoot a year later, I was very nervous & not keen on posing for photos especially in public! but Ryan made it fun, even in the busiest street with everyone walking past probably thinking what the hell who are these weirdos, we didn't care, Ryan had us laughing & enjoying every single moment.. Even if we did walk miles & miles! but it was so worth it! Then another year later came the wedding day (yep we booked him way in advance as he's a popular guy, so get him booked now!),

Ryan & his partner in crime and other love Paige rocked up ready for the day and went with the flow, nothing was to much trouble for them both, they were incredible!! Ryan scooped us away for our pics at the perfect timings & knew just what he wanted after already scoping out the grounds he knew just what would look amazing (he can find beauty in a fence with barbed wire & a shadow casting overhead, but trust him & his unusual ways & it will look awesome! Haha)

We have got our photos back & just Wow we are honestly speechless to how much we love them & how perfect they are! Not your average boring wedding pics, they are, as my son would say, epic!! The one thing that can last a lifetime is your photos that make memories come alive every time you see them, so thank you Ryan our photos make us relive our day all over again in the most perfect way possible.

XANTHE & SIMON

On the day Ryan arrived & slotted in to the proceedings seamlessly. He very kindly went between two houses to get photos of both of us getting ready (the groom getting ready shots are my favourite!!). He captured so many little details which we had both missed, which was lovely for us to look back on when our photos arrived. He was outstandingly professional throughout the day, but also made us feel so relaxed & made us laugh A LOT. It was just like having your mate take some amazingly fancy photos of you.

We were both so nervous about the photographs because we are awkward sods & can never take a good photo, but Ryan put us at ease as soon as he started working his magic. It was ace to see him get excited about certain shots & be so creative with our photos. 

We have had so many comments about our wedding photos saying how amazing & different they are. We are so happy to have found Ryan & will treasure every photo forever. Honestly we can’t thank him enough for such a great experience!! We will be back in touch in a couple of years time for a family shoot for sure 

HOLLIE & AARON

Now in retrospect I couldn’t be more thrilled with the way things turned out! We met Ryan at the Tetley where we were having our reception & chatted like old friends, by the time it all came round it was just like having another guest at our wedding! While you might not expect a city centre venue in the rain to have many opportunities for eye catching backdrops Ryan seemed to find the most extraordinary places to shoot our photos! He made us laugh & feel comfortable, such a fun experience (which is saying something for a person who doesn’t particularly enjoy having photos taken!).

He sent us previews the day following & it wasn’t long til we had the full album... pure magic. This man is a photography wizard. All our friends and family are in awe. So much more than a standard wedding photographer. There are no words to explain how much I would recommend him, I’m trying to think of another reason to have a photographer just so I can book him again (if only to hang out!).

Now my only problem is deciding which of the photos I want to hang on the walls! Massive love & appreciation. AMAZING - BOOK THIS MAN NOW

Being a photographer myself I am extremely picky & won't spend money on a photographer unless I know it is going to be worth it and HOLLYYYY SHIT IT WAS WORTH IT!!! My fiance & I went on a trip through Europe, little did I know that he was going to propose on the trip & the photos we had planned to take ended up being our engagement photos but I wouldn't want it any other way!!!

I have drooled over EVERY photo that he has posted. The booking process was so easy!! We came all the way from Salt Lake City Utah! We had a short layover in London & Ryan took a 4 hour trip to meet us there & take the BEST PHOTOS EVER!!!

My fiance & I work with a lot of photographers but Ryan freaking ROCKED IT!!!! He was funny, he was kind, he made us laugh, he gave us direction the whole time. Literally the BEST experience EVER!!! We got sneak peeks before we even got home from our trip & they are seriously some of our favourite photos!!! SO ARTISTIC, so fun, & exactly what we wanted. BETTER than we could have ever expected.

We hate having our photo taken but Ryan was incredible throughout the day, keeping us sane & making us laugh through any awkwardness. We had so much fun having our photo taken which is something I never thought I'd say!

We arranged to meet for a coffee & chat, and it felt like meeting an old friend. We chatted easily about our likes & dislikes & he showed so much enthusiasm and passion for his couples (even though he must have heard this stuff a trillion times!). Ryan stayed in touch & the process was clear and easy. On our big day Ryan felt like a guest. He took control without being bossy, he made everything fun & light hearted, he made sure we had the photo's we'd said we wanted (even when I was having too much fun/wine to care about photo's anymore!)

My biggest issue now is that Ryan is not actually our friend & therefore we can't just casually meet for coffee, as he feels like a pal! haha. Although I do plan on roping him in to maternity, birth, newborn & family photoshoots in the future.

The wedding photo's arrived in good time, the slideshow to music was exceptional & had everyone who saw it in tears of joy. Ryan captured EVERY single moment. The laughter, the tears, the big confetti-throwing bits & the tiny hand-holding ones. The very essence of a very special & unrepeatable day is in the pictures and thankfully we can relive it time & time again!

A million times thank you Ryan, we are so glad we got you! We will never stop singing your praises.

When my husband & I first began planning the wedding & all the bananas stuff that goes along with that, we both agreed that the idea of standing & having our photo taken filled us both with nothing short of horror. Remember that episode of Friends when Chandler is trying to practice his smile for their engagement photo & he just looks incapacitated & in pain? Yeah that's us. We're not very good or comfortable about having our picture taken & the last thing we wanted was a bunch of photos of us looking strained, uncomfortable & possibly with trapped wind, on what is supposed to be the happiest day of your life.

Then we saw Ryan photographing our friends wedding & we knew it had to be him! He somehow manages to be completely unobtrusive whilst making sure you're in some kind of composition to make a beautiful but natural shot. I actually can't work out how he does it. When we did our engagement shoot it was a rainy cold day in November, (that's my LEAST favourite kind of day folks) we were out for hours & Ryan managed to make it so enjoyable we didn't notice we'd been out all day & were wet through.

We have photos where we are really smiling, proper smiles, not like the awkward smile you do when you're mum tells you to... We look like ourselves, we look happy & I swear you can feel the love coming out of the pictures. To have made us look so comfortable & natural and happy whilst standing me in the cold & the rain is not just talent, it is a MAGIC FREAKING POWER.

This man captures things other people don't see I am certain of it. This being said, it meant that when it came to the wedding day Neil & I trusted Ryan completely & all our nerves were gone. Anyone who see's our wedding pictures is blown away by them, they are just so incredibly unique & special.

STEPH & CIARAN

We only had a small wedding so it would have been so easy for a photographer to feel intrusive or awkward trying to blend in for shots. Ryan slipped seamlessly into our guests like one of the family – who were all very taken with him & I’m sure would have had him round for Christmas dinner if they could!

The photographs went beyond what we could ever have hoped for when capturing the day. I love the uniqueness & creativity of Ryan’s work, which speaks for itself & I'd advise a cup of tea handy for looking through all his amazing work because you won't regret it. (actually, I'm judging you if you haven't already done this)

On the day we couldn’t have felt more at ease. So, if your Uber driver doesn’t realise the urgency of getting you both to your wedding on time, or if your shoes literally feel like walking on the pits of hell fire, don’t fear! So so glad we made the decision to have Ryan, he captured the moments that I don't think we would have remembered, everything happened so fast! I've looked at the photos at least once a day since we got them back :)
